Ukrainians in Poland explained how to obtain disability status and receive benefits.
According to inkorr.com: Ukrainians are informed about the procedure for obtaining disability status in Poland and the possible benefits. According to Spilno Wspólnie data, disability documents issued in Ukraine are not recognized in the Polish system.
Obtaining a certificate of disability
However, if Ukrainians legally reside in Poland and meet the established criteria for Polish citizens, they can obtain an official certificate of disability. This opens access to various forms of support, including financial assistance and other services.
To obtain a disability certificate, it is necessary to gather all medical documents:
- Current Polish medical documentation: medical history, discharge summaries, examinations, medical reports.
- Ukrainian documents may also be useful, but they need to be translated by a sworn translator.
After collecting the documentation, it is necessary to consult your doctor to submit an application for disability status. After this, you will receive a letter with the date of the medical commission, where you will undergo an examination and discussion. Regarding financial benefits, the main ones are zasiłek pielęgnacyjny (215.84 zloty per month) and Świadczenie pielęgnacyjne (3287 zloty per month) for caregivers of minor children.
Thus, Ukrainians in Poland have the opportunity to obtain official disability status, which will provide them with various advantages and support in the new country.
Obtaining disability status in Poland can be an important step for Ukrainians who have relocated to the country. This not only opens access to financial benefits but also facilitates integration into the new environment, allowing them to use additional services and support.
