Ukrainians will receive a subsidy for housing rental: how to get help.
Ukrainian displaced persons will receive a subsidy for housing rental
The Ukrainian government has launched a new support program for displaced persons who are forced to rent housing and face financial difficulties. The aim of this program is to assist IDP families (internally displaced persons) in partially compensating for high renting costs for apartments or houses.
A distinctive feature of this program is the digitalization of the document submission process. People can submit all necessary documents online without leaving their homes. Furthermore, documents for obtaining a subsidy can be prepared even if the person is not present in Ukraine.
“As part of the rental subsidy, we will support IDP families who rent housing, but the rental cost places an excessive burden on their family budget. Additionally, we will reimburse landlords for their tax obligations (within the framework of the social norm). Many landlords do not want to enter into official contracts due to tax issues. We are solving this problem for them,” said the Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovich.
For landlords, compensation for tax payments related to renting housing for displaced persons is provided within the established social standards.
Let us remind you that Ukrainians will be partially exempt from certain payments in 2025.
