Up to 10,800 UAH in UN Aid Available for Ukrainians: Who Qualifies.
UNHCR Launches Financial Support Program for Ukrainians
According to Novyny.live: Registration for a new assistance initiative by the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR Ukraine) opens on March 13. The program targets vulnerable individuals, including residents of the Lebedyn community, offering cash payouts to help ease financial strain during the ongoing crisis.
Eligible applicants can receive a maximum of 10,800 UAH, distributed as three monthly installments of 3,600 UAH each. This support is designed for internally displaced persons and refugees who meet specific criteria. A key condition is that household income must not exceed 6,300 UAH per person per month.
Priority Groups for Assistance
The program focuses on the most vulnerable segments of the population, including:
- Single parents caring for young children,
- Elderly individuals aged 55 and older,
- People with disabilities.
Residents of the Lebedyn community seeking aid must visit the reception center at Soborna Square, 32, in the city of Lebedyn. Operating hours are from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
Additionally, displaced individuals from the Bakhmut district now residing in Dnipro can apply for one-time financial assistance ranging from 5,000 UAH to 15,000 UAH. It is important to note that this aid is provided only once per year, a crucial detail for those in need of sustained support.
The UNHCR program aims to alleviate the hardships faced by Ukrainians struggling due to war and other challenging circumstances.
This initiative is part of broader international efforts to assist Ukraine’s war-affected population. By enabling registration for financial aid, the program helps meet the basic needs of internally displaced people and refugees, improving their quality of life amid limited resources. It underscores the importance of targeted assistance for the most vulnerable groups during these difficult economic times.
