Ukrainian Yaroslav Lavrenyuk – in the final of the best young athlete award in Europe.
According to inkorr.com: Skeleton athlete from Ukraine Yaroslav Lavrenyuk reached the final of the Pyotr Nurovsky winter award, competing for the title of the best young athlete in Europe. This information was confirmed by 'Suspilne Sport'.
This award is designed to recognize the most talented athletes aged 14 to 18 who demonstrate significant sports achievements and embody Olympic values both during and outside of competitions.
Last season, Lavrenyuk became the first Ukrainian world champion U20 and won bronze at the junior European championship. In addition, at the World Cup stage, he set his personal record, finishing 22nd in Yanqing.
Along with Lavrenyuk, two snowboarders, a representative of speed skating, and freestyle are also competing in the final. This year, the winner will be determined by voting from the National Olympic Committees of European countries.

Ukraine also showed good results at the European Youth Olympic Festival, taking 10th place, winning 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals.
Moreover, Ukrainian athletes achieved success at the World Summer Universiade, winning 12 medals, including 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze.
Yaroslav Lavrenyuk has the opportunity to receive the title of the best young athlete in Europe according to the Pyotr Nurovsky award. Ukrainian athletes actively represent the country in international competitions, both at winter and summer Olympics.
