Ukrainian athletes won 35 medals at the European festival: details of success.
According to inkorr.com: Ukrainian equestrian Anastasia Bondareva won a bronze medal at the international show jumping competition in Tetouan, Morocco. She took third place in the Grand Prix with a hurdle height of 155 cm after a fierce competition.
Successes of Ukrainian athletes at the youth festival
At the European Youth Olympic Festival, the Ukrainian team won 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals. This marked Ukraine's second-best performance in the history of the festivals, following 2019 when athletes won 25 awards.
This is the most successful sport – judo, our athletes won six medals, including bronze in the mixed team tournament on the last day of the competitions.
Ukrainian athletes also demonstrated good results in swimming, athletics, taekwondo, shooting, rhythmic gymnastics, and table tennis.
Performances at the World Summer Universiade
At the World Summer Universiade in Germany, the Ukrainian team ranked 14th in the overall medal standings, winning 12 medals: 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze. The last bronze medal was brought by racewalking on 20 kilometers thanks to Mykola Rushak from Sumy.
The performances of the Ukrainian equestrian, the team, and Mykola Rushak impress with a high level of preparation and efforts that Ukraine can be proud of. Each medal success adds confidence to the strength of Ukrainian sports on the international stage.
