Ukrainian Woman Becomes Freediving World Champion and Sets National Record.
Ukrainian athlete Kateryna Sadurska has once again become a world champion in freediving and set a new national record with a monofin. She announced this on her Instagram page. Sadurska claimed the world champion title for the third consecutive year.

Kateryna Sadurska is a Ukrainian athlete specializing in freediving. She began her career as a synchronized swimmer for the Ukrainian national team and later switched to freediving. In 2023, she became the world champion in the "constant weight without fins" discipline, setting a new world record with a dive depth of 78 meters. This was her second consecutive world champion title in this discipline. Sadurska continues to train and improve her results, serving as an example for other athletes.
Recently, Matviy Bidny, Vadym Guttsayt, and Yuriy Kopytko appealed to the president of the International Olympic Committee and the president of United World Wrestling, urging them to ban athletes from Russia and Belarus from international competitions due to their support of aggression against Ukraine.
Additionally, a Ukrainian record was set for the longest chain of Ukrainian shawls in the village of Pidhirtsi, Kyiv region. Shawls for the record were sent from various cities across the country.
