Ukrainian Armor Fires Back at SBU Over Grenade Launcher Quality Claims.
Statement from Ukrainian Armor Company
According to Espreso.tv: Ukrainian Armor LLC has issued a statement pushing back against accusations from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) regarding the alleged poor quality of grenade launchers supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The company asserts that it has never received any formal complaints about its products and confirms that all the launchers in question were manufactured in 2024.
According to available data, Ukrainian Armor delivered approximately 100,000 disposable grenade launchers between 2022 and 2026. Of those, about 30,000 are Czech-made RPG-75M models. In February 2026, the company took part in a procurement tender announced by the Defense Procurement Agency. A contract for the supply of RPG-75M launchers—produced in 2024—was subsequently signed between the agency and Ukrainian Armor LLC.
Confidence in Product Quality
In its statement, the company emphasized:
“No complaints regarding the quality of this product have been received.”This underscores the firm’s confidence that its products meet required standards. The statement also notes that during assembly, certain metal components manufactured earlier may be used, a practice consistent with the production principles followed by the company Zeveta.
It is worth recalling that on July 9, 2023, Ukrainian Armor reached out to the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. This move highlights the seriousness of the situation and the company’s intent to defend its interests amid heightened scrutiny of defense product quality in Ukraine. Through these actions, the firm aims to reassure the public of its products’ reliability and compliance with modern standards.
With growing attention on the quality of defense equipment in Ukraine, it is essential that suppliers like Ukrainian Armor can clearly communicate their quality benchmarks and adherence to international norms. This transparency can shape trust among state agencies and the Armed Forces, as well as influence the overall health of the country’s defense industry during wartime.
