Russian Attack Forces Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plants to Reduce Output: Energy Workers Restore Networks.
According to ТСН: Ukrainian nuclear power plants are forced to reduce generation capacity as energy workers work on restoring the electrical grids.
Electricity Supply Situation
This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.
"The increase in NPP capacity to nominal values will occur gradually as energy workers restore the networks damaged by the enemy,"- noted Nekrasov.
Nuclear Safety Violations
He emphasized that this is a serious violation by Russia of international requirements for nuclear safety. According to him, Russian strikes damage critical infrastructure that provides electricity and output from NPPs.
"Russia's energy terror policy needs to be stopped,"- he stressed.
De-energized Regions
According to the agency, eight regions are suffering from power outages. Currently, residents of Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv regions are left without electricity.
Earlier, it became known that emergency disconnections have been implemented in Ukraine due to Russian attacks. This indicates the long-term consequences of military actions on the country's energy infrastructure, and the efforts of energy workers are aimed at the quickest possible restoration of electricity supply for citizens.
