Ukraine has purchased over 38 thousand drones through DOT-Chain Defence: how it will change the front.
The emergence of drones in military units
According to inkorr.com: Ukrainian military units now have more than 38 thousand drones, the cost of which exceeds 1.5 billion hryvnias. This became possible thanks to the DOT-Chain Defence system. As reported by the director of the Defence Procurement Agency, Arsen Zhumadilov, various models of drones from 38 manufacturers have been purchased as part of this project, and over 77% of them have already been successfully delivered.
Plans for the future
Future plans for the DOT-Chain Defence system aim for expansion. The Ministry of Defence intends that within the next six months, about 70% of the unmanned aerial vehicles for the army will be purchased through this system. In addition, a new feature has been announced - 'Drone Constructor', which will allow users to independently choose the parameters of the drones.
'As part of the pilot project, we successfully spent 600 million hryvnias... And the fastest order was completed within 5 days,' emphasized Zhumadilov.
Thanks to new technologies and modern procurement systems for drones, the Ukrainian army is strengthening its defensive capabilities, which positively affects the effectiveness of the state's protection.
The successful implementation of the DOT-Chain Defence system opens new horizons for the modernization of the Ukrainian army, allowing the use of modern technologies in military operations. This is an important step in ensuring national security and defense, highlighting the growing role of drones in modern conflicts.
