According to TSN.ua: Two Ukrainian train drivers, Roman R. and Volodymyr V., have been charged in Poland with organizing an illegal border crossing. The incident occurred in 2024 when the suspects transported two Ukrainian citizens across the border without passport control. For their services, the drivers were to receive $12,000.
According to the Polish prosecutor's office, Roman R. and Volodymyr V. acted in collusion with a railway worker named Serhii. Both Ukrainian nationals have not admitted guilt but have agreed to submit to the prosecutor's proposed punishment. They are charged with facilitating illegal border crossing, an offense punishable under Polish law by six months to eight years of imprisonment. The case will be adjudicated according to Polish legal procedures.
