The Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine is preparing for negotiations regarding the unconfirmed fines imposed on Ukrainian carriers in Poland. This was stated by Deputy Minister Serhii Derkach during a meeting with representatives of the transport industry.

The problem lies in the use of the Polish digital system SENT/RMPD, registration in which is mandatory for all carriers transporting goods within Poland.

'We understand the importance of adhering to registration rules, but we receive numerous complaints regarding disproportionately high fines. Often they are imposed due to technical errors, such as the absence of punctuation or loss of GPS signal for a few minutes,' Derkach noted.

The fines can amount to 12,000 zlotys, which is equivalent to 120,000 hryvnias. In recent weeks, the ministry has received dozens of appeals from carriers. All cases are being analyzed in detail and forwarded for consideration to the Polish side and the European Commission.

'We expect to meet with representatives of the Polish government and the European Commission soon. We are working to ensure fair conditions for Ukrainian businesses,' Derkach emphasized, expressing readiness for a constructive dialogue to resolve the problematic situation.

A new checkpoint has recently opened on the border between Ukraine and Poland.
