Ukroboronprom to Manufacture New Armored Personnel Carriers Using Western Technologies.

The joint-stock company 'Ukrainian Defense Industry' has signed an agreement for the joint production of armored vehicles with Roshel.

The Ukrainian enterprise will receive the necessary technical documentation and component materials for the production of the vehicles.

'The Ukrainian defense industry is expanding the geography of partnerships. Armored vehicles from the Canadian company are already being used by the Ukrainian military. Manufacturing this equipment in Ukraine will significantly speed up its delivery to combat units. At the same Time, this will boost the Ukrainian economy and provide the Ukrainian manufacturer access to technologies,' said the Minister for Strategic Industries, Herman Smetanin.

The Minister emphasized that the Ukrainian defense industry is gradually integrating into the defense-industrial base of the free world.

'We are localizing the construction of Western armored vehicles, which is a great sign of our production's adaptability. At the same time, we continue to develop our own tanks and armored fighting vehicles. The combination of Western and Ukrainian armor should become a solid foundation for our Defense Forces,' noted the General Director of the joint-stock company 'Ukrainian Defense Industry', Oleg Hulyak.
