The USA struck nuclear facilities in Iran: Trump announced 'total destruction'.

US President Donald Trump reported on a 'very successful attack' by American military forces on three nuclear facilities in Iran — in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. This happened on the ninth day of the war between Israel and Iran.
'All planes are now outside Iranian airspace. A full set of bombs was dropped on the main facility in Fordow,' Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social, referring to Iran's most fortified nuclear facility located under a mountain.
In a special address to the nation, the US president stated: 'I can inform the world that the strikes were a remarkable military success. Iranian enrichment facilities were fully and completely destroyed.'
Operation Details
According to American media reports, B-2 stealth bombers capable of carrying bunker buster bombs weighing over 13 tons were used for the strikes. This was the first known use of GBU-57A/B bombs in combat conditions.
According to updated data from The New York Times and CNN, 12 GBU-57 bunker buster bombs were dropped on the underground facility at Fordow, while submarines launched 30 Tomahawk cruise missiles at the facilities in Natanz and Isfahan. Additionally, two bunker buster bombs were dropped on Natanz.
Diplomatic Aspects
The Trump administration had informed Israel in advance about the strikes on Iran, an Israeli official told Axios. The US also contacted Iran diplomatically to convey that they were planning only strikes and that regime change was not the goal, CBS News reported.
Earlier this week, sources reported that Trump opposed a plan to assassinate Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
US leader Donald Trump announced successful strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, which were a significant military success, diplomatically informing Israel and previously sending a diplomatic initiative to Iran.
