Ukrainian troops have reclaimed the village of Andriyivka in the Sumy region and halted the advance of Russian forces towards the towns of Khotyn and Pysarivka. Intense fighting allowed for the liberation of the village and freed up reserves for other directions.
Under the command of the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, the situation in Sumy region has stabilized, despite attempts by the Russian Federation to create a 'buffer zone' on the border of Sumy and Kharkiv regions. President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that the lack of a breakthrough on the Sumy front puts Moscow in a difficult position.
Thanks to the successful operations of the Ukrainian military, it has been possible to stop the advance of Russian forces and stabilize the situation in the Sumy region, which has become an important step in the rapid conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
