Ukrzaliznytsia increases the number of trains to Chisinau due to border complications.
According to ТСН: Due to complications at the car border with Moldova, the national carrier 'Ukrzaliznytsia' has decided to increase the number of seats on flights to Chisinau from Odesa and Kyiv.
'Tickets will be available for sale starting from December 20 today during the day. This was an operational response from Ukrzaliznytsia to the complications of crossing the Moldovan border by other modes of transportation,' the company clarified.
The company also reported that it is constantly monitoring the situation and is ready to increase the number of seats on trains in this direction if the need arises.
Traffic complications due to attacks
We remind you that in the Odesa region, due to a Russian strike on an infrastructure facility near the settlement of Mayaky, traffic on the Odesa-Reni highway has been temporarily suspended, significantly complicating access to several border crossing points.
Earlier, it was reported that due to the Russian attack on Odesa on the night of December 19, residents of one of the largest residential areas were left without electricity, water, and heating.
Overall, the complications at the border with Moldova and the situation in the Odesa region are a result of military actions occurring in the region. The increase in the number of 'Ukrzaliznytsia' flights may significantly ease travel for those trying to cross the border in these difficult times. The situation remains under control, and the company is prepared for further changes in the schedule if necessary for the needs of passengers.
