Ukrzaliznytsia launched direct trains from Uzhhorod to Vienna and Budapest: route details.
According to inkorr.com: 'Ukrzaliznytsia' announced the beginning of ticket sales for new international routes from Uzhhorod to the capitals of neighboring European Union countries. Now passengers can directly travel to Bratislava, Vienna, and Budapest. Tickets are already available for purchase.
New routes
One of the new routes is train No. 961/618 Uzhhorod - Bratislava. It departs from Uzhhorod at 8:09 and arrives in Bratislava at 18:33. In the return direction, the train departs at 11:27 and reaches Uzhhorod at 22:35. Another route is train No. 146 Uzhhorod - Budapest - Vienna, which departs at 8:09, arrives in Budapest at 14:20, and in Vienna at 17:20.
The return trip from Vienna departs at 10:42, stops in Budapest at 13:19, and arrives in Uzhhorod at 22:35.
Convenience for passengers
Tickets can be purchased on the 'Ukrzaliznytsia' website and app, as well as on the platforms of Hungarian and Slovak railways. Passengers will have convenient transfers with domestic routes, including night trains. This will allow travelers, for example, to leave Kyiv in the evening, arrive in Uzhhorod in the morning, and immediately transfer to a train to Europe without additional transfers. Earlier, 'Ukrzaliznytsia' launched five new trains for the fall.
The company continues to expand its network of international flights from Uzhhorod, providing more comfortable and faster travel to the capitals of neighboring European countries.
