Discussion with Representatives from the US and EU about Peace in Ukraine

According to ТСН: The head of the Ukrainian delegation to the peace talks and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, had a conversation with representatives from the US and EU, discussing the possibility of ending the war in Ukraine.

In this dialogue, the American side included Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Trump's special representative Steve Witkoff, as well as Trump's advisor and son-in-law Jared Kushner. The European side was represented by advisors on national security from the United Kingdom, Germany, and France.

“We coordinated positions and planned further meetings with European and American partners in January,” Umerov noted.

He added that a separate meeting with European partners is scheduled for January 3 in the format of national security advisors. It is expected that representatives from more than 10 countries, as well as NATO, the European Commission, and the European Council will participate. US representatives will join the meeting online.

“In the new year, we will continue working on solutions that should yield tangible results,” he summarized.

It is recalled that earlier President Volodymyr Zelensky announced new negotiations regarding peace at the highest level.

These negotiations could represent an important step in seeking a resolution to the conflict in Ukraine, considering the active involvement of international partners. Participants in the discussions hope to achieve concrete results in the near future, which could significantly impact the situation in the region.
