According to UATV: On June 3, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke by phone with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre. Their discussion focused on bolstering Ukraine’s air defense systems, enhancing European anti-ballistic capabilities, and securing continued support for the country. This call underscores the ongoing diplomatic efforts to address Ukraine’s most pressing security needs amid the war.
President Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Støre for Norway’s solidarity and condolences following a devastating Russian attack that killed 23 people and wounded 151 others.
“I am grateful to Jonas for his support and words of condolence over the loss of our people in yesterday’s massive Russian strike,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy also confirmed that the two leaders discussed new deliveries for air defense systems, noting Norway’s readiness to assist in this area.
“We discussed air defense supplies: Norway is prepared to help,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated.
In addition, the Ukrainian president announced preparations for upcoming meetings that will introduce special collaboration formats. “We are also getting ready for meetings in the near future — there will be special formats for our work,” Zelenskyy declared.
