The government has extended the gas experiment for front-line regions: details.
According to inkorr.com: The government of Ukraine has decided to extend the experimental project for gas supply to residential consumers in front-line areas. This decision is part of the Government's Action Program for 2025, as reported by the Ministry of Energy.
“Due to Russian armed aggression and the destruction of distribution networks in front-line regions, some consumers remain without central heating and gas supply. However, Ukraine continues to support its citizens by activating various support mechanisms. This project has already demonstrated its effectiveness, so we will continue its implementation in the next heating season,” emphasized the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Svitlana Hrynchuk.
Initially, the project was launched within the current heating season for front-line territories, but now it has been decided to expand it to residential consumers in the Zaporizhzhia region. It has also been decided to extend the project's duration until May 1, 2026.
As part of this initiative, gas for consumers will be supplied through state companies and international partners.
The government has managed to extend the experiment on gas distribution for consumers in front-line regions, also covering residential consumers in the Zaporizhzhia region. This is an important step, as it reinforces the government's intentions to ensure access to gas for people who have lost central heating due to Russian aggression.
