The government extended payments for internally displaced persons until February 2026: who will receive assistance.
According to inkorr.com: The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to extend the payment of living assistance for internally displaced persons (IDPs) for another six months. This decision concerns socially vulnerable categories of IDPs who lost the right to receive payments after the previous term ended in August.
New payment conditions and key changes
The Ministry of Social Policy reported that payments will be automatically extended according to the resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 332 and No. 709. The amount of monthly payments will be 2000 hryvnias for an adult and 3000 hryvnias for a child or a person with a disability. The new provisions also include loosening criteria for certain categories of citizens. For example, having more than 100,000 hryvnias in a deposit account will no longer be an obstacle to receiving assistance.
Priority recipients and limitations
The main categories of recipients are Ukrainians who have relocated from combat zones or lost their homes due to aggression from Russia. Individual status is also granted to persons with disabilities and families with dependent members. At the same time, there are limitations: for example, IDPs lose their right to assistance if they are abroad for more than 30 days or have significant amounts in bank accounts.
Thus, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended living assistance for internally displaced persons until February 2026. This decision is important for supporting socially vulnerable categories who have special needs in wartime conditions. The automatic extension of payments and new conditions provide more people with the ability to receive necessary financial support.
