The government has simplified the process of obtaining a combatant certificate: what has changed.
Simplified process for obtaining a combatant certificate
According to inkorr.com: The government of Ukraine has approved changes that will simplify the procedure for obtaining a combatant certificate. Now, volunteers can directly appeal to the CNAP for the document if their status is confirmed by the relevant authority.
'This allows avoiding unnecessary formalities and simplifying the process of obtaining the certificate,' - it was reported by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.
Moreover, the decree introduces a new application form that will help avoid misunderstandings during the receipt of the combatant certificate.
Expansion of rights for families of prisoners and the missing
The government has decided to eliminate legal restrictions that hindered relatives of persons in captivity or missing from obtaining information from the Unified State Register of War Veterans. Now, the parents of these individuals can receive information from the register without being tied to other circumstances.
The requirement for the applicant to live with the person for whom the data is requested has also been abolished.
These innovations will increase the accessibility of obtaining a combatant certificate and expand the rights of relatives of prisoners and the missing. This, in turn, will help them more easily obtain the necessary information and maintain contact with their loved ones.
