Support for Local Communities in the 2026 Budget

According to inkorr.com: The Minister of Finance, Serhiy Marchenko, spoke about the plans for the state budget in 2026, emphasizing the importance of supporting local communities. He made this statement at a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities.

The main areas of funding for local budgets include: additional grants totaling UAH 36.5 billion, compensation for heating costs amounting to UAH 15.0 billion, as well as support for educational initiatives and basic grants.

'It is necessary to rationally distribute financial resources of the budget system to effectively utilize them in all spheres of life, taking into account modern challenges,' emphasized the Minister of Finance.

In addition, the draft law on the state budget for the next year includes UAH 15 billion for providing housing to internally displaced persons. The calculation of horizontal equalization has already been made according to the Budget Declaration, but final decisions still require approval.

These initiatives indicate serious attention from the government to the needs of local communities. Additional funding aims to support the social and economic development of regions, as well as improve the quality of life for their residents.

Support for local communities under the new budget is an important step towards developing infrastructure and social services that are critically needed for the stability and prosperity of Ukrainian regions. The government, noting its readiness for new challenges, hopes that these investments will meet the needs of the population and help improve the overall well-being of the country.
