Fuel Cashback Program Launches March 20: How Much Drivers Will Get Back.
Fuel Cashback Program Launch
According to Novyny.live: Starting March 20, 2023, the Ukrainian government is rolling out a fuel cashback initiative to help drivers cope with rising fuel prices. The program will run until May 1, 2023, and offers partial refunds on gasoline, diesel, and autogas purchases. This move comes as part of broader efforts to ease financial pressures on motorists amid economic uncertainty.
Cashback Rates and Participating Stations
Refund percentages vary by fuel type:
- 5% cashback on autogas;
- 10% cashback on gasoline;
- 15% cashback on diesel.
Individuals can receive up to 1,000 hryvnias per month in compensation. Major gas station chains taking part include WOG, Ukrnafta, OKKO, KLO, and BRSM Nafta.
Oleksiy Sobolev noted that the government is launching the fuel cashback program using the existing infrastructure of the 'National Cashback' initiative.
This highlights the state’s readiness to swiftly address economic shifts and support drivers in challenging times.
The fuel cashback program aims to reduce the financial burden on vehicle owners and encourage fuel consumption across Ukraine. Participants can claim refunds for car-related expenses, which is expected to positively impact transportation and the broader economy.
With fuel and lubricant prices climbing, this limited-time initiative represents a key step in supporting motorists and stabilizing the economic landscape. Its success will hinge on how actively drivers use the designated station networks and how efficiently the refund mechanism is implemented. Ultimately, this effort could shape consumer sentiment and behavior in Ukraine’s fuel market.
