A powerful oil and gas field has been discovered in Europe - what is known.
A Canadian energy company has discovered the largest oil field in Poland located in the Baltic Sea near the city of Swinoujscie. Central European Petroleum (CEP) has revealed that the Wolin East 1 well contains 22 million tons of oil and condensate and 5 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
What is known about the field
According to estimates from the Polish Ministry of Climate and Environment, the Wolin concession contains over 33 million tons of oil and condensate, as well as 27 billion cubic meters of gas. The discovery of the field is one of the largest in Europe in the last decade.

The area of the Wolin concession is 593 square kilometers, and the operator of the area is the Polish company Central European Petroleum. This company specializes in the exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons in Central and Eastern Europe.
