Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi assured that Iran does not plan to transfer its ballistic missiles to Russia. Earlier, there was information that Tehran might supply weapons to Moscow. This was reported by Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

Borrell commented on the statements of some EU member states about a possible threat of Iran delivering ballistic missiles to Russia.

"Directly before the start of the meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels, I sent a message to the new Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, expressing my concern," Borrell said.

Borrell added that he received a response claiming that this was false information.

When asked by journalists if Borrell "really believed" the Iranian official, he replied that he did not believe.

"Regarding Iran, let's distinguish between drones and missiles. Concerns and suspicions are about missiles. And the minister said that this is not true. We also do not have evidence that this is the case," Borrell declared.

Borrell also noted that there is caution regarding the potential supply of missiles, but this is a potential and alarming signal.
