In Odesa, the chief engineer of the municipal enterprise was arrested on suspicion of demanding a bribe from a businesswoman for permission to trade along the coastline.
According to the investigation, the woman approached the engineer with a request to issue a permit for temporary trading structures on the 'Vydrada' beach. However, he demanded a bribe of 2700 US dollars from her. The businesswoman refused to pay and reported this to law enforcement. The man was detained in the act of handing over the money, which was seized as evidence.

The chief engineer of the enterprise has already been informed of the suspicion under the article 'Receiving unlawful profit'. He faces up to 10 years in prison, confiscation of property, and a ban on holding positions.
