Zelensky submitted a decree on the next extension of martial law: until what date.
According to ТСН: The process of extending martial law and general mobilization is starting in Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelensky submitted the relevant decrees to the Verkhovna Rada. If the deputies support them, the term will be extended for 90 days, until May 4 of this year.
After the documents are approved by parliament, it will remain to obtain the signatures of speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk and President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Reasons for extension
This step to extend martial law and mobilization is not unexpected. The security situation and the intensity of hostilities require the support of a legal regime that allows for effective management of state resources.
Previous decisions
Let us remind you that on October 21, the Verkhovna Rada already approved the extension of martial law in Ukraine and general mobilization for the 17th time until February 3, 2026.
Military statements
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi reported on strengthening mobilization and recruitment in response to the activity of Russian occupying troops.
The extension of martial law and mobilization is an important step in the context of the current military situation in Ukraine. The authorities continue to actively respond to the challenges facing the country, ensuring the necessary support for the military and national security.
