In Ukraine, they explained how Durov's arrest will hit Putin.
Lieutenant Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, spoke about how the arrest of Telegram founder Pavel Durov in France could weaken Russia's aggression. He stated this on his YouTube channel. According to Kovalenko, this could contribute to the destruction of the Russian agent network in Europe. He also emphasized that Telegram is the main messenger used by the Russian army. The lieutenant suggests that Russia could be accused of drug trafficking in Europe, which would negatively affect the General Staff of the Russian Federation, responsible for espionage operations.
It should be noted that according to the Russian publication Baza, many Russian officials were instructed to delete their official correspondence from Telegram after Durov's arrest. This concerns officials, security officers, and representatives of the presidential administration, as well as high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Defense and certain large businessmen.
Recall that Pavel Durov was detained in Paris at Le Bourget airport. He arrived from Azerbaijan on a private plane accompanied by a bodyguard and a woman.
Elon Musk, Tucker Carlson, and others also commented on the arrest of Pavel Durov.
