Prices on Sugar in Ukraine Will Change Drastically: What It’s Connected With.
Ukrainians Are Predicted a Drop in Sugar Prices
Analytical cooperative "Pusk" reported that sugar prices in Ukraine have decreased due to difficulties with exports. Currently, the cost of sugar is 26.5-27.5 hryvnias per kilogram. Ukraine exported only 3-4 thousand tons of sugar in August, compared to 100 thousand tons two months ago. Therefore, the local sugar market is under pressure, as the country is now focused on domestic consumption. It is expected that sugar production will increase in Ukraine, but export restrictions to Europe will create problems for Ukrainian producers. Moreover, Europe will also increase sugar production, complicating the international sale of Ukrainian products. Experts predict that in the new season, sugar prices will remain low due to the instability in export markets and overproduction.
