It is forecasted that Ukraine will experience a significant drop in temperature over the weekend. According to meteorologist Natalia Didenko, on January 11-12, nighttime temperatures will drop to 0-4 degrees below zero, while during the day, in most regions, it will range from 1 degree below zero to 3 degrees above zero.

'The drop in air temperature from, for example, +6 degrees to 1 degree below zero is a cooling,' explains Didenko, responding to skeptical comments regarding the use of the term 'cooling' in relation to minor negative temperatures.

Warmer weather in the south and east of Ukraine will last until January 11, but a drop in temperature is expected in these regions on Sunday as well. The closest night and morning of January 11, the northern and central regions of Ukraine may receive precipitation in the form of rain and wet snow. During the day and evening of January 11, the most likely precipitation will occur in the eastern part of the country and in certain places in the west.

A drop in temperature is also expected in Kyiv, caused by the cold front of the cyclone Charlie. On January 11-12 in the capital, nighttime temperatures will range from 1 to 4 degrees below zero, and during the day it will be from 0 to +2 degrees. Cloudy weather with wet snow is forecasted for the next night, and on Sunday, light precipitation may occur from Time to time.

According to Didenko's forecasts, cool weather typical for Central European winters will persist in Ukraine next week, but without significant frosts.
