You will need:

  • cornelian cherries - 1 kg;
  • sugar - 1 kg;
  • water - 250 ml.

Method of preparation

Rinse and dry the cornelian cherries well. Heat water in a pot, add sugar and stir until fully dissolved - this will create syrup.

Add the prepared cornelian cherries to the syrup, bring to a boil, and cook for 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool completely.

Repeat the process three times. On the fourth time, bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes.

Pour hot jam into sterilized jars and seal with lids.

Store in a dark, cool place.
