According to ТСН: Experts predict that the year 2025 will most likely be the second or third hottest year in the history of observations, only surpassed by 2024.

This information was provided by the Copernicus Climate Service of the European Union (C3S). The authors of the study, Stuti Mishra and Kate Abnett, emphasized that the current year concludes a three-year cycle during which the average global temperature exceeded pre-industrial levels by 1.5 °C.

According to C3S, the anomalously high ocean temperatures are causing numerous extreme weather events in various regions of the world. For example, there have been many devastating climate disasters in South and Southeast Asia, and widespread wildfires have been documented in Spain.

Problems at the Climate Summit

The failure of the Cop30 Climate Summit, where world governments failed to agree on essential measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, is partially attributed to the escalation of geopolitical tensions.

The Hottest Years in History

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) has confirmed that the years 2023 to 2025 constitute the warmest three-year period ever recorded. The last decade was also the hottest in the history of meteorological observations.

It was previously reported that a temperature drop on the left bank is expected starting December 13.

Climate change remains a significant concern for experts and governments worldwide. The rise in temperatures and its associated effects require urgent action and global collaboration to avoid catastrophic consequences for the planet and humanity. In light of the failure of international agreements, the importance of local initiatives and sustainable development is becoming even more urgent.
