Twice as Little: It Became Known How Much Ukrainians Borrow from MFIs.

The number of clients using microcredit services in Ukraine has significantly decreased, reports finance.ua citing SalesDubler CEO Oleksandr Boika. According to Boika, there are currently about 115-120 thousand clients in the market who have taken microloans each month, which is twice as little as in the pre-war period.
According to statistics, the average loan size in 2022 was 6190 hryvnias (approximately 150 dollars), which is more than in 2021 - 4470 hryvnias (about 168 dollars). Most microloan agreements are made online for a term of three months to one year.
We see that microfinance companies are working on this. They are making efforts to change the product. They are driven by the market and the regulator, which has introduced new requirements, limited interest rates, etc. - explained the expert.
According to financial institutions, loans totaling 37.11 billion hryvnias have been issued since the beginning of the year, with 5.9 million loans granted. The debt of Ukrainians on microcredits has increased from 9.3 to 16.02 billion hryvnias.
