Battle Map: The Epic Failure of the Spring Offensive Peaked in May

According to Espreso.tv: Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military-political analyst with the 'Information Resistance' group, examines the failure of Russia’s spring offensive campaign, highlighting heavy losses and logistical breakdowns. According to him, the spring campaign has been a complete disaster for the Russians, with May 2023 marking a particularly catastrophic month for the enemy. During this period, invading forces managed to seize only about 20 square kilometers of territory.

Kovalenko points out that Ukraine's defense forces have aggressively moved to cut off enemy supply lines.

“We severed the enemy’s connection, recalling Starlink,” he stated.
The expert also emphasized that reaching the 1991 borders is a realistic process, indicating potential positive shifts in combat operations.

These developments cast doubt on the prospects of Russia's summer campaign, which, given the current results, may face new challenges.

“It’s only a matter of time,” Kovalenko concluded.
He stressed the importance of continued efforts by Ukraine’s defense forces to strengthen their positions.

The failure of Russia’s spring offensive underscores not only the aggressor’s strategic miscalculations but also the effectiveness of Ukrainian defense forces in modern warfare. By destroying enemy logistics routes and holding the line, Ukraine is demonstrating growing combat potential that could shape the conflict’s trajectory. As the adversary suffers significant losses, Ukraine must continue to consolidate its positions and improve coordination among units to succeed in future campaigns.
