Poland Offered Assistance in Organizing Elections in Ukraine: What Exactly Will Be Provided.
According to ТСН: Poland has expressed its readiness to assist in organizing the upcoming elections in Ukraine, offering practical support from Warsaw.
This was stated by the Speaker of the Polish Sejm, Wlodzimierz Czarzasty, after a meeting with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
Czarzasty noted that Poland can provide Ukraine with legal and logistical support in the preparation process for presidential and parliamentary elections.
Voting Issues
The Speaker emphasized that this concerns not only monitoring the elections but also organizational and legal aspects. He added that about 2 million Ukrainians live in Poland, and approximately 8 million are in other European countries, which creates serious challenges for conducting voting.
Czarzasty underscored that Poland's initiative was positively received by the Ukrainian side. In this regard, the creation of a special working group is planned to develop cooperation formats.
Invitation to the Sejm
Wlodzimierz Czarzasty also reported that he invited Volodymyr Zelensky to give a speech in the Polish Sejm. The President of Ukraine accepted the invitation, and the date of his speech will be agreed upon later.
It should be noted that the President of Ukraine previously stated there were no plans to hold a referendum on peace agreements, emphasizing that elections are only possible under a ceasefire and the establishment of security infrastructure.
It was also reported that President of Russia Vladimir Putin expressed readiness to consider the possibility of avoiding strikes on Ukrainian territory during the elections.
Therefore, Poland's readiness to support Ukraine in organizing elections indicates an activation of international cooperation amid the current political and security situation. It is important that joint efforts contribute to ensuring transparency and security in the electoral process in Ukraine.
