The key stage of restoring electricity supply has been completed: where emergency schedules are still in effect.
Update on electricity supply in Kyiv and the region
According to ТСН: In Kyiv and the Kyiv region, an important stage of emergency restoration work on the electricity supply is coming to an end. However, in the capital and some regions, emergency disconnection schedules are still in effect due to adverse weather conditions and high loads on the energy system.
Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Roman Andarak reported that:
“Thanks to the prompt and professional actions of energy workers who operated almost around the clock, the key stage of emergency restoration work has been completed. Emergency disconnections are in effect in the capital on part of the right bank and on the left bank.”
Currently, Kyiv and the region are transitioning from emergency restrictions to scheduled hourly disconnection schedules.
“Energy workers are doing everything possible to make this process go as quickly as possible.”
Due to unfavorable weather conditions, 161 populated areas in the Kyiv region are left without power. Power supply interruptions have also been recorded in other regions of Ukraine: in Transcarpathia — 48 settlements without electricity, in Dnipropetrovsk region — 36, in Chernihiv region — 15.
Emergency schedules are currently in effect in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, as well as in Odesa, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions. The duration of such restrictions may vary depending on the air temperature.
“Therefore, we ask you to understand this situation.”
In all regions of Ukraine, capacity restriction schedules for industry and businesses continue to operate.
“We thank all our consumers for their patience and understanding of the situation. Your resilience inspires, the sense of humor of Ukrainians motivates.”
Andarak also emphasized that energy workers are operating in difficult conditions without days off to restore stable electricity supply as quickly as possible.
“We understand that the current situation in the energy sector is not just inconveniences. For many, it is a matter of survival, especially for children, people with disabilities, the elderly, and those in need of medical procedures.”
He urged Ukrainians to support each other: lend power banks, charging stations, generators, provide shelter in warm rooms or help with food.
“After all, Ukraine is now one big point of resilience.”
In such a difficult situation, Ukrainians are trying to support each other with all their efforts. Joint actions and support help overcome difficulties, whatever they may be. It is important to maintain unity and compassion as it becomes a reliable basis for restoring normal life.
