Deadly Attack on Fuel Station in Izium
According to UATV: On July 5, Russian forces launched a strike on a gas station in Izium, Kharkiv region. The attack killed a 19-year-old station operator and left four other people injured. The strike was carried out using a Tornado-S2 multiple rocket launcher system.
The attack caused damage to:
- the gas station's administrative building,
- the operator's booth and retail pavilion,
- fuel dispensing pumps,
- the surrounding pavement area.
Additionally, seven vehicles parked at the station during the shelling were damaged.
Escalation of Hostilities
According to reports, over the past week Russian troops have used more than 1,700 guided aerial bombs, 106 missiles, and roughly 2,200 attack drones. These figures highlight the intensity of combat operations in the region and their devastating effect on civilian infrastructure.
This strike on the Izium gas station is part of a broader Russian campaign that has been ongoing for several months, targeting critical infrastructure across Ukraine. The heavy shelling and use of diverse weaponry show that military operations continue to endanger civilian lives and safety. Such attacks create severe humanitarian consequences and demand international attention and response.
