Famous athlete asked Putin for Russian citizenship.
Brazilian mixed martial arts fighter Fransimar Barrozu became involved in a public scandal after visiting occupied Melitopol. During a master class, he addressed the president of Russia and expressed his desire to obtain Russian citizenship, emphasizing his attachment to the country.
The athlete personally approached the president of the Russian Federation with a request to grant him citizenship, despite the fact that this is occurring against the backdrop of the conflict in Ukraine. This is not Barrozu's first trip to a combat zone; he previously trained units of the occupying forces, which is why he was mentioned in the 'Peacemaker' database as an accomplice to Russian aggression.
It seems Barrozu decided to strengthen his ties with Russia, declaring his readiness to obtain Russian citizenship. This has caused a significant stir in the public, especially given the athlete's involvement in events related to the occupation. Currently, Barrozu has become the subject of sharp criticism, and his future in Ukraine may be in serious question.
