War and Game Theory. Scientist Explains Whether the End of War Can Be Mathematically Modeled.

Mathematical Modeling of Processes in War
Professor Oleksii Ihnatenko from the Ukrainian Catholic University claims that any processes, including war, can be represented in the form of mathematical models. He cites examples of research by Western scientists who use game theory to analyze military conflicts.
I know at least two articles on game-theoretic modeling of our war, - said Professor Ihnatenko. - However, any model is just an abstraction, that is, it is always somewhat 'wrong'.
The scientist emphasizes that even the best mathematical models may contain inaccuracies due to the influence of the human factor. However, models built on the basis of game theory are an important tool for understanding complex processes and events.
Predictions Regarding the End of the War
Economist Anatolii Amelin developed a model for ending the Ukrainian-Russian conflict using game theory. He identified eight key players and proposed three probable scenarios for the end of the war, noting that one of them is the most likely.
Peace is possible if sanctions are maintained and oil prices remain low. In this case, the Russian economy will weaken, - commented Amelin.
Despite possible inaccuracies in mathematical models, they still help in predicting the development of events in complex situations. Therefore, research in the field of game theory remains relevant and important for a better understanding of modern conflicts.
