The end of the war in Ukraine is possible within 90 days: statement by the US ambassador to NATO.
According to ТСН: The resolution of the conflict in Ukraine may occur within the next 90 days.
This was stated by US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker in an interview with Fox News.
“If this happens (the end of the war in Ukraine — Ed.), it will be within the next 90 days,” he said.
Whitaker also noted that this winter will be extremely difficult for Ukrainians due to Russian attacks, particularly in the energy sector. At the same time, Ukrainian forces are delivering serious blows to the Russian oil and gas industry.
“President Trump, I think, is operating under the premise that killings need to stop. It’s senseless. It’s been going on for four years. No one is gaining any strategic advantages. Death and destruction simply must cease,” explained the American politician.
Whitaker added that the Trump administration continues to work towards peace, acknowledging that the US will pressure not only Russia but also Ukraine.
Previously, he also mentioned that four documents are being considered in negotiations to end the war of Russia against Ukraine.
It is worth noting that President Zelensky has revealed the content of the 20 points of the peace agreement for the first time. However, according to Bloomberg, Russia rejected this new peace plan.
Whitaker's comments indicate a ramping up of diplomatic efforts to find paths to peace. Despite negative forecasts regarding Russian attacks, Ukrainian forces continue to fight, trying to destroy key military and economic resources of the opponent. It is clear that achieving a consensus among all parties, including finding ways that satisfy both countries, is crucial for realizing the peace process.
