War is not the only threat - what will hinder business in Ukraine.
According to a survey by the Institute of Economic Research and Political Consulting (IER), Ukrainian entrepreneurs expect a number of challenges from 2025 to 2028 that may significantly complicate their work. Among them are security issues, workforce problems, and threats to production. According to the statements of IER Executive Director Oksana Kuzyakiv, security remains one of the key issues, but entrepreneurs are also aware of other factors that affect their business.
In addition to security, entrepreneurs noted issues with the workforce and changes in the labor market as serious challenges. Other important factors that may affect business include the restoration of infrastructure after the war, energy prices, and logistical instability, as well as regulatory and tax policies. Less obvious but still important trends include geopolitical instability, the development of digital technologies, the impact of artificial intelligence, climate challenges, and restrictions on free trade.
