Breakthrough at the border in Sumy region: why a large-scale offensive by the occupiers will not happen

According to ТСН: Recently, a breakthrough by Russian troops across the border was recorded in the Sumy region. However, there should be no expectation of a large-scale offensive by the occupiers, as their military resources do not allow for such actions.

Expert's Comment

This information was voiced by military expert Serhiy Bratchuk during the broadcast of 'KYIV24'. He explained that the current units of Russian occupiers at the border are using the 'thousand cuts' tactic.

'It is possible that we should expect attempts by the enemy to break through the border and move into our territory in other locations as well. But once again: there should be no expectation of a large-scale offensive today,' he emphasized.

Emergence of Threats

Although the situation currently seems under control, Bratchuk noted that any relaxation at the front could lead to a repetition of events similar to those in Hrabivske. Therefore, one should be prepared for the activity of the enemy in other sections of the front, especially in border territories.

'The enemy will pay attention to the fact that the Ukrainian border area looks unprotected and will try to break through to advance further. We understand that there will be significantly many information provocations,' Bratchuk added.

Breakthrough in Hrabivske

Let us remind you that recently the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the fact of a border breakthrough in the Sumy region. The occupiers attacked the area of the settlement of Hrabivske, as a result of which the defense forces had to withdraw from several positions. After capturing the village, Russian soldiers forcibly transported more than fifty civilians, mostly elderly people who refused evacuation, to the territory of the Russian Federation.

These events signal a deterioration of the situation at the Ukrainian border, which raises serious concern. It is important to continue monitoring the development of events in the region and ensure an adequate level of readiness of the defense forces. The situation remains tense, and changes can occur at any moment.
