Military Commandant's Office: Russia has not yet requested a humanitarian corridor in Kursk for its population.
Most residents of Kursk plan to relocate to Russia, but the Russian leadership does not consider requests for a humanitarian corridor. This was stated by press officer Aleksei Dmitrashkovsky, who maintains communication between the military commandant's office and the local population in the Kursk region of Russia.
According to the press officer, there are also people who do not want to leave the front-line zone either to Russia or to Ukraine, even if their relatives are searching for them and ready to take them in. Most of them are elderly people.
The military commandant's office has compiled lists of people who want to obtain refugee status and move to the territory of Ukraine. These lists have been handed over to the Commissioner for Human Rights and the President's Office.
The press officer reported that recently the Ukrainian military evacuated a Turkish citizen. "Regarding some people, the issue has already begun to be resolved. On September 13, a Turkish citizen was evacuated and handed over to the staff of the Turkish Embassy in Ukraine. Another family of Turkish origin is awaiting departure. But their documents were burned and it takes Time to confirm their identities," said Aleksei Dmitrashkovsky.
The military also noted that there were people from Kharkiv and Odesa in the Kursk region.
"We encountered people from Kharkiv who came to the Kursk region to care for their mother, and a woman from Odesa with a Ukrainian passport who came to care for her lonely aunt. This woman has been in Sudzha since 2022. It seems to me that this story may be different, but the relevant authorities will investigate," said Dmitrashkovsky.
Recall that previously press officer Aleksei Dmitrashkovsky reported that the military commandant's office in Sudzha has not mobilized a single Russian of conscription age and does not plan to do so.
