Military outraged by the introduction of commanders' efficiency ratings: what is the reason.

The Ministry of Defense has decided to introduce a digital rating of combat effectiveness for commanders, but the soldiers are outraged by this step. They claim that it may force commanders to undermine their subordinates and risk their lives. Bohdan Krotevych, the chief of staff of the 12th brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine 'Azov', expressed his opinion on this situation.

Krotevych stated that many commanders try to 'embellish' their achievements and hide losses, as statistics become very important. He also noted that when evaluating effectiveness, factors that commanders do not control, such as the training level of the fighters, supply distribution, and others, are not taken into account.

Krotevych asks how these ratings will affect the distribution of weapons and appointments to positions. He concludes his opinion by noting that if commanders care only about ratings, it will be bad for everyone.

Another serviceman, known by the pseudonym 'Shadow', also emphasizes that the effectiveness of commanders should consider not only the enemy's casualties but also the preservation of personnel and equipment. He spoke about the introduction of digital ratings of combat effectiveness for commanders and the planned inspection of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It should be noted that throughout 2024, the number of the Russian army decreased by 430,790 people, which is approximately equivalent to the number of 36 motorized rifle divisions of the Russian army. At the same Time, the enemy suffered more losses than in the two previous years. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky also signed a decree allowing individuals with higher education and managerial experience in public life to be appointed to leadership positions in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
