New Military Bonus Rules Take Effect in July: Here’s What Changes for Pay.
Ukraine Overhauls Military Bonus System
According to Novyny.live: Starting in July, Ukrainian service members will see new supplemental payments under Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 768. The updated framework introduces a mix of cumulative and overlapping allowances, with the government capping monthly combat-related pay at 460,000 hryvnias. This reform aims to better compensate troops for specific battlefield achievements while keeping state spending under control.
Soldiers can expect to see the revised payments reflected on their bank cards in July. The amounts vary based on mission outcomes. For instance, destroying or capturing enemy equipment earns the following rewards:
- 12,180 hryvnias for a military vehicle
- 243,600 hryvnias for a first-rank warship
Additional bonuses include:
- 100,000 hryvnias for capturing an enemy combatant
- 15,000 hryvnias for neutralizing enemy personnel
- A standard supplementary reward of 10,000 hryvnias
- Instructor payments ranging from 15,000 to 30,000 hryvnias
- A combat bonus of 40,000 hryvnias
- A one-time payment of 170,000 hryvnias
Lawyer Ivan Maksymovych explained that these adjustments are designed to deliver fairer financial support to military personnel, ensuring that compensation aligns more closely with the risks and results of their service.
These changes are intended to boost troop motivation and provide adequate financial backing for combat duties. By setting a monthly cap, the government aims to maintain fiscal discipline while recognizing the critical role of the armed forces in current conditions. The new system is expected to raise morale and encourage soldiers to take on high-stakes missions at the front.
