A soldier, on whose body the occupiers burned the inscription 'Glory to Russia', shared his story.
A Ukrainian soldier from the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade named Andriy Pereverzev stated that if his health recovers, he will return to serve in the army. The man returned from captivity with the inscription 'Glory to Russia' on his body, where he endured harsh conditions and torture, but survived it all to return to his daughter at home. After undergoing treatment and surgeries, he plans to serve in the military again.
During captivity, a promise made to my daughter helped a lot: 'Every day in captivity, I told myself: 'I will return'.
Exchange of prisoners of war
Since June 9, Ukrainian soldiers have started to be exchanged, with the return of many defenders who were released from captivity in Russia being recorded. Among them are representatives of various services of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, all of them are just privates or sergeants. One of the released fighters returned with numerous signs of torture that he endured in captivity.
