The government is reducing the list of critical infrastructure: what will change in power outage schedules.
According to ТСН: The government plans to revise its approach to electricity outage schedules, which may significantly impact the situation in the regions.
According to information from a source familiar with the results of the government meeting, the Cabinet of Ministers is working on a decision to reduce the list of critical infrastructure that is currently exempt from outages.
Possible innovations
There is also a consideration for temporary outages even for critical facilities that have alternative power sources, such as generators.
“If a critical facility has generators, it will also be subject to outages. Such facilities will provide electricity for themselves,” the source noted.
Earlier, 'Ukrenergo' explained why power schedules are not working.
Implementing new approaches to electricity outages may significantly change the situation in Ukraine, especially in regions that depend on stable electricity supply. Given the critical nature of many infrastructure facilities, the government's decision on temporary outages may cause a wide resonance among the population and businesses.
