US Special Envoy Witkoff to Meet Putin in Moscow: Details.
According to ТСН: US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff will travel to Moscow on Monday.
This information was confirmed by a senior US official in a comment to CNN. The visit will take place against the backdrop of active negotiations aimed at finding ways to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.
It is expected that Witkoff will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Russian capital.
The question of Jared Kushner's accompaniment during the trip to Russia remains unclear for now. Last week, President Donald Trump expressed the opinion that his son-in-law might join the special envoy.
The trip will take place the day after Witkoff, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Jared Kushner meet with a high-level Ukrainian delegation in Florida.
Witkoff mentioned that American officials have been maintaining contacts 'in various formats' with the Russian side for some time and have a 'sufficient understanding of its positions'.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio positively assessed the dialogue in Miami, calling it 'a very productive and useful session'.
Stephen Witkoff's visit to Moscow is an important step in seeking a peaceful resolution to the conflict. The cooperation of the US with other countries, including Ukraine, underscores the seriousness of the intentions to find a compromise in a difficult situation. Ongoing negotiations indicate that the diplomatic process remains a key element in achieving stability in the region.
