Sumy Authorities Urge Border Residents to Evacuate.
In Sumy region, 183 settlements have already been designated as evacuation zones. Living in these territories is dangerous due to intense shelling by the enemy, using various types of weapons, including KABs. The civilian population of these communities suffers. This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
As of now, August 30, more than 21 thousand people have already been evacuated from the border areas of the Sumy region.
The head of the Sumy RMA, Volodymyr Artyukh, urged community leaders not to delay the decision to evacuate. He emphasized that there are communities ready to accept people and provide them with housing. Neighboring regions also support.
The Romenska RMA has provided 67 houses for the border population to live in. Already, 3 families with children have been accepted and are preparing to accommodate 5 more families.
Coordination headquarters for conducting evacuation measures have been established in each district of the Sumy region. The decision was made in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
Evacuees are provided with information about places for temporary residence, social support, legal and other assistance. They are also looking for the possibility of quick involvement in activities in territorial communities.

On the evening of August 25, Russian troops carried out an airstrike on the Sumy region, resulting in the deaths and injuries of civilians. Movement restrictions have also been introduced in the border zone of Sumy region.
