Dynamo Kyiv's Squad Shift

According to Novyny.live: Vladyslav Blanuce has been dropped from Dynamo Kyiv's starting lineup. Head coach Ihor Kostyuk no longer sees him as a primary option, paving the way for Matvii Ponomarenko to become the team's main striker. Ponomarenko has already made a strong case for himself, scoring the lone goal in the club's first official match of the year, a 1-0 victory over Rukh. This decision reflects the intense pressure for results at one of Ukraine's most storied football clubs.

A New Attacking Pecking Order

Under the new attacking hierarchy, Matvii Ponomarenko will take the central role, with Eduardo Guerrero considered the secondary option at the striker position. The situation looks difficult for Vladyslav Blanuce, who now risks being without regular playing time until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Recall that Blanuce joined Dynamo in the summer from Romanian side FC U Craiova for a fee of two million euros. However, across ten appearances for the Kyiv club, he has managed to score only one goal, a return that has failed to secure his place. This tactical change could therefore be a crucial step for Dynamo as they seek to improve their results in upcoming fixtures.

The lineup adjustment likely signals new strategies from the coaching staff aimed at boosting the team's offensive output. Given that Ponomarenko has already demonstrated his knack for scoring crucial goals, his role in future matches could prove decisive for Dynamo's fortunes. For Blanuce, this may become an opportunity to reassess his career path and seek new avenues for development if his playing situation does not improve.
